Membership Requirements
MAHI welcomes licensed home inspectors, people preparing for a career in home inspection, and related industry professionals. The appropriate membership category depends on your qualifications and professional role.
Who Can Join
Licensed home inspectors in New York State may apply for full membership.
Home inspection professionals in training may inquire about associate membership while working toward their professional qualifications.
Industry affiliates, including professionals in insurance, real estate, and engineering, may contact MAHI about opportunities to participate in the association.
Full Membership Requirements
Applicants for full MAHI membership must:

Hold a valid New York State Home Inspector License.

Maintain current Errors and Omissions insurance and General Liability insurance.

Complete the training required for their New York State licensing pathway.

Commit to the New York State Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

Maintain required continuing education through approved courses, including qualifying MAHI programs.
